  ASPEN SQUARE IS PRIMED FOR WINTER!

     November is an anticipatory month – it starts out fall-ish and morphs very gradually into a winter month by the time Thanksgiving arrives and ski season opens. Although it usually snows around Halloween, it’s really only in November that snow starts to accumulate at higher elevations. And everyone watches that accumulation very carefully. Town feels like it’s holding its collective breath for winter to start, while hotels are buffing up their properties in advance of ski season’s launch.

  Trail of Lights at Chatfield Farms Nov. 21 - Jan. 11, (closed Nov. 27 & Dec. 25). 5-8:30 p.m.!

     Trail of Lights at Chatfield Farms takes you along a winding path glistening with lights that illuminate the Colorado countryside. Tucked into the foothills under the dark sky, the glow of lights can be seen for miles. Just under a mile of walking trail, the illumination of cottonwoods, boxelders and pine trees line the pathway through the Green Farm, Crossroads, Deer Creek Discovery Children's Play Area and 1880s Hildebrand Ranch homestead.
